    I am on my first attempt to rip a DVD using DVDx, but I get the following 2 errors when trying to run the program...

    1. C:\Program Files\DVDx\DVDx.exe
    A device attached to the system is not functioning

    2. The DVDx.EXE file is linked to missing export DSOUND.DLL-11

    I'm running windows 98 SE. I have installed the program but these messages come up when I try to run it, hence it does not even open? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

    try install latest directx.

    I had the same errors under WindowsME. Updating to DirectX 9.0B did solve the problem.
