    Hi DVD Burner experts,
    BenQ's latest DW822A Plus is a dual format +R/+RW and firmware upgradable to double-layer recording. My question is why is the drive not ship with the latest firmware. Is this a hardware or software readiness issues ? Thanks in advance.

    Because they don't have it yet, its in testing. Sept they should have it.

    Remember, few dvd players can play these disks so what would be the point at the moment?
