  1. I'm trying to make a backup of a DVD to DVD-R but it does not work.

Easy CD Creator 5 Disc Copier but it does not copy to DVD-R, it says its not a blank disc but I just took it out of the case (tried 2 of them)

Any advice would be very appreciated!

    1) If it is a DVD that you purchased(a factory pressed DVD)....you have ALOT of reading to do. Check in "Guides" and "Articles" in GREEN on the left hand side of your screen.
    2) Unless you upgraded....most versions of Easy CD Creator 5 did not have DVD capabilities....it was only for CD's as the name suggests.
And IF you upgraded....it is NOT a preferred piece of software to copy DVD's. I have it.....upgraded it....and still use it 90% of the time for CD's only.

I came here almost in your same predicament....reading the guides and articles is the only way to understand what you need to do. Just plopping a DVD into one drive and a DVDR into the other will NOT work most of the time.
Also check the "Glossary" in BLUE and look for the terms DVD9 and DVD5....THAT will explain most of what I am trying to say.

    Good luck to ya'

hech is right, but I'll give you the quick and easy method of duplicating a DVD.

Download DVD Decrypter and also DVDShrink

Put the DVD in your DVD-ROM drive and rip that sucker to your hardrive.

Open DVDShrink, point it to the ripped files and click the Backup button.

Use DVD Decrypter once again to burn the files DVD Shrink created.

That's basically it. There are literally hundreds of other ways to rip a DVD depending on what kind of quality you want, or how much time you want to spend bothering with it. But at least you've come to the right place to learn about all of that.

Try the DVD Backup link in my signature.
    If in doubt, Google it.
