I have a damaged disk. Actually, it has several cracks, some of which go across the whole distance of the disk (from center to edge). Believe it or not, with many attempts, I am actually geting it with iso buster. I don't care if there are BAD dropouts etc, I just want to get as much as I can, and what I get must be usable. I am not comfortable with the fact that it keeps the drive going for hours. Sometimes it acts like it is frozen, sometime it is just going slow. I have been working on this disk for a few days. With enought determination, I think I can get most of it, but this cannot be good for my drive.
Reguardless of what is beter or worse, can anybody tell me other programs that ignore errors like iso buster (prefrebaly freeware or at least something with a trial). I do not wish to haphazardly buy software. I know you can set dvdshrink to ignore errors, but I cannot find that option (perhaps I have an old copy). I have smart ripper but have not had any luck there. Would dvd decryptor do any good with a disk damaged that bad? All I want are sugestions of programs that I might try (the more the beter).
Thanks in advance for any help. Fyi, I want this information to help in the future for mor mildlly damaged disks, but I really want to recover this one. Can anybody help?
