  1. So, I've noticed that I am starting to develop quite a catalog of DVD's. Some of course of Studio Movies and back-ups, and more and more of my own creations....both TV programs and video camera.

Back before DVD-ReWriters, I archived several hundred cd-r's with mpg1 as both data and some vcd.

I grew fond of the app Advance Disk Catalog because it created a searchable database of the files in the catalog. In other words, if I had a file of an epidode titled 'Angel in Jail' from the Rockford Files and it was on disk 137, a simple entry of "angel" would return that (also any other permutation of angel) as Angel in Jail [49MB] ; Disk 137....etc.

But since files on DVD's are non-descriptive vob's, that doesn't work for dvd's. Advance disk catalog has a 'comments' section, but it isn't searchable.

So I'm wondering if there are any apps or methods for creating something similar....even if you have to enter line items manually, with searchability tagged to first word in line, or any word for that matter? So if Angel in Jail was one of a half dozen episodes on one of several Rockford files dvd's in the TV tree, an entry of "angel" in the search engine would yield Angel in Jail > Rockford #3 > TV Series 028 ....or however I decided to organize. I suppose that would be a fairly complex program, but it would be nice to be able to know where stuff is when you have a few hundred dvd's with multiple videos on each.
