NEC 2500A or LiteOn 811s?

Tried a search for this but did'nt really find what I was looking for.

Which is better? Now I know its of personal tastes I guess, but I can't really decide which one to get. I read a lot of comments about both in the 'DVD Writers' section but just don't know.

I can get the LiteOn at a near by store but can only get the NEC online. My problem with that is if something is wrong with the NEC I've got to send it back and all that. I don't like that. But thats just me.

Anyway any help would be appreciated. I've been needing one bacause of all these por...misc. videos that needs storing. So again thanks for any adivce or opinions.

Pick up the Liteon 812s instead. Heard this may be able to do dual layer and also when used with the speedhack tool you can make 4x media do 8x (of course for the ones that support it but also for just about any media in its list).

I can't answer which is better but Compusa has the mad dog this week 79.99 after rebates 1 instant 1 mailin.

The maddog it is supposed to be a rebagged nec 2500
