hi my first time trying to convert something to dvd and i got a bit stuck

maybe i should explain, i have an avi that i ran through Cucusoft's Avi 2 Dvd software, as the name suggests i thought this program would do the work for me but, after a lengthy conversion it left me with 2 mpeg files and a m2v file. now this is where i am stuck, what do i do with these 3 files? i tried to burn them with nero in the dvd video file part (nero 6) but it says these aren't dvd files or something. i even looked through the help files of avi 2 dvd and on their walkthrough they have vob files and not the files that it converted for me ( how do you figure that 1 ?) so could someone please tell me how i burn these 2 mpegs and the m2v file to dvd please? any help will be most appreciated

You usually author a m2v (=video) and a LPCM or AC3 or MP2 (=audio) to create VOBs and ifo's and bup's (and directory structure) with an authoring application (see tools left) and then burn this to DVD. I suggest you forget about this CuCuSoft for a while, and start reading some of the AVI to DVD guides provided under convert left.

yeah i've tried the specific guide on here before i tried that avi 2 dvd but i get as far as using Tmpgenc and it always comes up with some error message, which i also followed up through the Tmpgenc help file and found no help to my problem, so if theres a way of going through these guides using an alternative program that that i'll try, but tmpgenc is a no no on my system

Most TMPGEnc problems are caused by faulty source material. Have you for starters scanned your source AVI for bad frames? If you really want to use CuCuSofts application, why not try their support?
