352X480 mpeg2 NTSC is one of the mpeg file acceptable for Capty DVD ( using PixieDV to capture).
I pressume that the file does not have to be re-encoded.
Why does one of the windows asked what quality to encode to ?. (high, medium and low and also the bit rate of the audio). Isn't this has been fixed when I caputured ?.
When I burn the DVD it seem to take a long time to encode.
2 hr movie takes about 3 hr to encode.
Does captyDVD re-encode to the higher std resolution (720 X 480) ?.
I am confused.
Thanks

I noticed this as well. If it was re-encoding the video it would take a lot longer. It's clear to me CaptyDVD is re-encoding the audio, no matter what. My guess is that the video you captured is being demultiplexed, converted to AIFF, reconverted to MP2 then remultiplexed before CaptyDVD makes the image or video_ts folder. It's completely unnecessary and stupid, but I think thats what it's doing.
