short form intro is that Samsung digital cam corders do not use the same technology as JVC, Sony, Panasonic, Canon. These 4 are compatible with each other....I had a samsung that destroyed itself... I was checking around to find which camcorder would play my edited tapes which amounted to 1000's of hours of work. Non of them would.. The picture was there but the sound refused to be played on the 16 bit that I'm sure was saved as. It only played on 12 bit which gave this alien sound that was not hearable. I need a program that will enable me to mess with the bit ratio and frequencies so I can record it again with compatible for known popular makes....My only copies are these mini DV which I figured was a standard for all digital cam corders... Any help here would be appreaciated...
Thanks
Bill
