My new DVD player (Hiteker GK620 from China) will not recognize my homebrew VCDs created on my PC. They play perfectly as VCDs on my PC. The instruction manual with the DVD player says only "commercial" VCDs will play on their player and they know of know software for making VCDs that will play. I was under the impression that all DVD players (especially the ones that specify, VCD compatibility as mine does) will play VCDs. Is there something about homebrew VCDs that will not allow them to play on some newer DVD players? Is there something like a DVD country code to prevent playing homemade VCDs on the newer equipment?
I am lost on what to do right now.
Thanks for any help to get this newbie going.
