  1. Has anybody else experienced frequent premiere.exe errors while working in Adobe Premiere 6.5? I get this at different times and the only option I have is to close the program. I was getting it every time I tried to Encode to an Mpeg file but this premiere.exe error had a certain APPVER or MODNAME associated with it. I had to delete that file, remove all traces from the registry unistall/reinstall Premiere and Matrox Media tools and remove and reinstall my RT.X10 capture card I use all in a certain sequence to fix that problem. I don't have that problem anymore, but I do continue to get these errors that say premiere.exe has caused an error and Premiere must close. I never have problems with my computer doing anything else, but only when using premiere. Here are my computer specs: Windows XP Professional, AMD Athlon +2100XP/1.87Ghz proccessor, 512MB Ram, Primary Hard drive 30GB 7200 RPM, Secondary/Video Only Hard Drive 160GB 7200 RPM, Nvidia 440 Geforce4 64MB video card, TDK 420N DVD +R/+RW DVD Burner. Does anybody have any idea why I could be getting these continuous premiere.exe errors? Is there a premiere.exe file update that I can get to replace the current premiere.exe file that came with the version of Premiere 6.5 I have? Is Premiere just a complicated program to deal with. I have considered purchasing Premiere 7.0 Pro, but I am afraid I might have the same problem with it. Thanks so much in advance for any help that you can provide!

  2. Have VERY similar error in Adobe After Effects. The problem was Codec related. I uninstalled a codec pack that I had found on the net, and after that the program worked fine. Try disabling some codecs (make some backups first, so you don't delete any that you need!).

    Good luck
