Can Adobe Premiere do a lot more than free programs like AVIsynth? I was just curious if it's worth buying and learning to use if it makes better menus, has better effects, and more capabilites. If not then I'd stick with the free programs or cheaper programs.

Just test the trial of Premiere CS3 from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/ (you need a adobe account).

Premiere Pro is intended for original production. If you are starting from scratch with camcorder video and graphics and intend to make a complex video, Premiere Pro will be much more productive. Learning curve is steep but then so is avisynth.Originally Posted by jwfc
