i recently backed up one of my transformers discs. its about 8gb or so and i want to keep all the episodes. so, i did a full disc backup with dvdshrink with full analysis. the compression ended up being around 65% for the episodes. i turned down the compression on the extras, removed the extra audio track, and changed the menu to still images. the backup still shows noticeable compression artifacts.
so, what i may have to do is split the backup over 2 discs, maybe 3 episodes per disc. how would i best go about doing this?
thanks

Hi MediaMonkey.
Before splitting the episodes over several discs you might want to try something else.
Make two backups; one where you apply still-pictures to half the episodes, the other where you apply still-pictures to the others.
That should free enough space for the ratio to be much higher for the non-still-pictured episodes (and maybe for the menu not to need to be compressed). -
Hmmm....nice idea Mr. Shrink. You just flicked the evil scientist switch on in my head....and my thoughts are now aimed at my Band Of Brothers DVD set.
Thank You Sir... -
You're both welcome.
hech54, I'm not Mr. Shrink, dvdshrink (the author/developer) is. -
