  1. Ok, well I had copied alot of previous recorded tv programs which I had on VHS to DVDR fine, but the other day I set about maybe converting my bought VHS collection to DVD. Now as I understand by current laws, you are legally allowed to make backup copies of software/music/games etc, now this is a backup as Im not selling it, Im just going to use it because VHS is inconvienet to watch.

    Anyway put the VHS in, hit record as usual, and got an error like "You cannot copy this material" or something similar, so I thought maybe it noticed the little block on the tape was missing (you know the one you cover to record), so I celotaped over it, but still the same thing.

    Im now stuck as what to do, :/, thanks in advance for the help
