  1. Ive read lots of different opinions on what people think is the best software for creating a dvdr. It seems to me that if your not compressing anything, just removing unwanted stuff that the quality of the movie would be the same no matter which software you use. All your doing is putting the original decrypted movie file on disk right? Am I wrong w/ this hunch?

gonna play on my component inputted 46" widescreen tv

It has to be in DVD-Video format for it to play. If you burn it as straight data, it won't work.

  3. Thanks for the reply although I already understood that.

    to clarify

I'm asking if it matters which way i prepare a movie only (uncompressed) to burn. Does it matter if i use Dvd shrink, Dvd x copy, or intervideo. If its an uncompressed file it shouldn't matter which software right?

  4. Yes, it doesn't matter. But if you just want to remove unwanted stuff without compressing you don't need a transcoding tool. You can use VobBlanker, DVDReMake, DVDStripper

Or you could just rip the movie VOB's to the drive, rename them, and run them thru IFOedit. I've done this several times.
