looking for an HTML / Java guru...

pretty simple project - I need to make an HTML front-end for an enhanced audio cd, so the user can select from some video files on the data portion of the disc.

ideally, what I'd like is a menu page that lists the movies, with links to them. when the link is clicked on, a new window, sized appropriately, pops up and the movie plays in that window.

the problem I'm having is that I find conflicting / confusing Java scripts to do it, or I find deprecated "_blank" HTML codes that don't make a lot of sense to me either.

if anyone eats this stuff for breakfast, and would be able to help me with some simple (but annotated so I know what I need to insert) lines of HTML or Java, I'd be very grateful...
