  1. I have done this for a couple of years now. I purchased a new CD burner and it came with Nero Burning 5.5 every CD I now make hangs on the menu page when I insert it into my DVD player. I need to remove the menu page or some how set it to auto play. Does anyone know how to do this? They play fine in my computer but not on my Apex DVD player.javascript:emoticon('')

    Hello,
You could try to use a freebie like vcdeasy to create a autoplay disc. Also, try Nero without a wizard (maybe it forces you to make a menu?). Just a thought, good luck.

  3. yoda313,

Thanks, I'll check into that. I did however fail to mention that they are converted to SVCD and then burned onto CD's. Like I said they play great on my computer, but I don't want the kids playing on that either!

    Hello,
It's me again. Just a thought, have you played any svcd's on this particular dvd player? It could be a compatibility issue. Also, try cdrw instead of cdr. Good luck.
    Kevin.
P.S. I know you said you've done this for a while but just in case this is a different dvd player than your used to you may want to look into it (also are these true svcd or the xvcd stuff?, hybrids are a lot pickier)

  7. Hi Kevin,

No this is the same player I have had for years. In fact I have 3 of them. Apex is known for it's playing of almost any formate and SVCD is listed right on their boxes. I can't aford a DVD writer right now and DVD's cost a lot more than CD's so this is the best option for me right now. I have spent the afternoon downloading and installing 3 software trial products. VCDEasy, WinAVI and Super Something or other and none were any good. The trial version of VCD Easy only allows you to burn 100kb of video as a sample. That is not even enough to be able to tell anything, so I wasn't going to waste a CD trying. I managed to get 1 good CD out 3 with WinAVI not good either and the last one you have to buy to burn. WinAVI and Super Whatever are also converting programs and I don't need that. I already have them in SVCD I just want to burn them.
