I'm curious to see if any other users have captured & edited video with Windows Movie Maker 2 and then authored & burned the video to DVD with Sonic My DVD. I've read that these programs are for newbies, but that is exactly what I am. I'm brand new to this and am hoping for any tips before I dive into it. Thank You!

Hi heyjjjaded
That is exactly what I do. The results are very good and if you set the capture to create clips these can be used to edit the movie very well. MAke sure you have the latest MyDVD as it will encode AVI from MM2. The encoding process is quite lengthy, but I run them overnight, good luck, let us know how you get on.

I have sony dvr 350. Capture to pc with dv-avi format 320X240 with image mixer (stop at 4 gb). I am testing by using movie maker to save as avi with 720X480. Then I use tmpgenc to clip the movie. I will burn it tonight on dvd and will let you know.
So far, I have captured with image mixer (avi), then use tmpgenc to decode to dvd and burn with tmpgenc dvd author. The movie looks ok but I want to try aomething else to improve the movie. I also use tmpgenc dvd creator source 2.0 version and the movie comes out just a little better than tmpgenc plus 2.5. Any other sugestions?
