  1. For the love of GOD help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    For some random reason DVDs just dont have sound while i try to play them on my comp (WTF) there is video but no audio.

    I'd suggest that it's something to do with your sound setup and/or the way your software is interacting with it. What software are you using to watch the DVDs ?

  3. Im using Power DVD 5, the sound card is fine, i can play other sounds such as mp3s and other video files that have sound (avi, mpg, etc)

  4. unless something happed to the DVD audio codec, if you could tell me where i can get another one i could try reinstalling it

    OK. What about the PowerDVD Audio settings ?

    Do any DVDs work at all or are all of them sound-less ?

    Sounds like possibly something is amiss with your PowerDVD audio settings.

    I'll start with the basics:
    The MUTE button isn't pressed ?
    The Volume control isn't set to the lowest level ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    I also use PowerDVD 5.

    Go into PowerDVD settings by clicking on the configuration icon, then go to audio properties, ensure that SPDIF is not selected, if it is, change this to 6 speaker setup.

    If problem still persists, update PowerDVD by downloading the latest patch from the Cyberlink website.

    What sound card do you have?
