  1. Normally, I use IFOEdit if a movie will definitely fit on 1 disc with no compression. However, yesterday I ran across a movie that kept coming out at 4.39GB. So, I had to use DVDShrink, which claims the movie will fit on 1 disc with no compression. There must have been something that I was forgetting to remove with IFOEdit.

So, I select the "no compression" option during re-authoring. I also selected "analyze first" before having it transcode.

Will the movie lose quality, even though Shrink3.0 is set at 100% (no compression)? This seems like a no-brainer, but I'd like to make sure.

    stream,
not to worry. you will like the results. If the file started out as a dvd original, you will not notice the loss until about the 3rd or 4th reauthor.
    Go for it.

    eh

if there is no compression, then dvdshrink does not do anything other than write the files that you selected, to your hd.
