Normally, I use IFOEdit if a movie will definitely fit on 1 disc with no compression. However, yesterday I ran across a movie that kept coming out at 4.39GB. So, I had to use DVDShrink, which claims the movie will fit on 1 disc with no compression. There must have been something that I was forgetting to remove with IFOEdit.
So, I select the "no compression" option during re-authoring. I also selected "analyze first" before having it transcode.
Will the movie lose quality, even though Shrink3.0 is set at 100% (no compression)? This seems like a no-brainer, but I'd like to make sure.

stream,
not to worry. you will like the results. If the file started out as a dvd original, you will not notice the loss until about the 3rd or 4th reauthor.
Go for it.
