Burning XVid AVI's???

I downloaded a XVID AVI movie file.

I can't play it in WMP (Class Not Registered). I CAN play it in my DivX player.

QUESTION: How do I burn this to a VCD or ISO disc I can play in my stand-alone DVD player for the TV????

When I try to drag the file into Nero to burn it as a VCD, it says "Unsupported File Format".

Any help'd certainly ber appreciated.
