  1. If you already have Nero Recode and dvdshrink and ripped the movie with dvddecrypter.
which would you choose, Nero Recode or DVDShrink? Since the creator do both of them. I don't know which is more stable.

Please ignore the cost. (i know dvdshrink is free)

  2. I use Recode, just because I have it. No other reason than that. DVD Shrink is great, but hey, if you paid money for something, use it. Unless of course you pirated Nero, I would still use it.

  3. i use dvdshrink, it has lots of useful features (that nero prob has also, never used it) like reauthoring, etc - idiot proof which is right up my alley!

  4. Been using Shrink much longer and so am more familiar with it. So I just stick with Shrink and let Nero burn. If it ain't broke.......

  5. DVD Shrink. Never had a "stability" problem, and it now also burns.

I use Nero Recode (with Deep Analisyse:) i have had NO problems
with quality and stabilty with recode.

I still use DVDShrink now'and'then for ''quicky backups"
(and also to view titleset numbers.... which comes in handy with title removeing apps.)

as you mention 'if you had both' regardless of cost' then take out the media/burning aspect (as issues can also arise from there) then you have to go with Recode as it's got the extra features. Not everyone will use Nero to burn DVDShrink DVD's so users would not have got Nero burning issues that some suffer from

so from files into program to files out into a folder then Recode is the probably the better. Getting onto DVD and playing it back is another matter and subject to opinion

Been using dvd2one, but now I use recode2 because the quality is better. Of course you need to use advanced analisis to get the better quality which takes more time, but I think it's worth it for movies I want to keep. I also have shrink, Instant copy, and dvdxcopy. dvdxcopy is the worst though. (not for quality, but in general)

  11. Is IC better then Recode 2?

I've noticed better quality with IC for movies that require heavy compression. I usually use IC when the movie is 2.5 hours or longer. Otherwise, Recode works great.
