  1. I have some mpeg1 files (Karaoke .dat ), and I want to make a DVD, which can have hundreds of mpeg1 file and play in my dvd player. The main reason I want to do this is "NO NEED TO CHANGE DISKS".

I thought you can only use mpeg2 to make a DVD, and I don't want to convert mpeg1 to mpeg2. Anyone did something similar before? Is there any special software I need to do this?

Thanks a lot for the help.

most players these days can handle mpeg1 in addition to mpeg2

i have an apex 5131 and i know for a fact it plays mpeg1 with mp2 audio dvd's i author

i bet it would do the same for you on your player. If you got the time, author the dvd and burn it to dvdrw and give it a test.

  3. Go to Lordsmurf.com = Convert and Edit = Converting to DVD MPEG
__Then click on "Convert VCD to DVD"

VCD's are MPEG1 so I believe this should work.
Also seen some other guides and posts in doing VCD to MPEG1.
I have tried some and they do work.
