Ok folks, I went and searched for something unrelated, and found the following info. As it turns out, there is indeed a way to make your inkjet printed disks water resistant:

New desktop unit laminates inkjet printed CDs and DVDs for a glossy, professional finish that is highly resistant to water, scratching, smudging and UV light.

Just $3500Accent is priced at just US $3495 (MSRP). The ADL-100 High-Speed Autoloader is priced at US $1395 MSRP. Lamination film pricing varies depending upon the type selected and ranges from US $0.10 per disc to US $0.25 per disc (MSRP). Discs printed by other printing technologies, such as screen-printing or thermal transfer can also be protected with Accent’s clear or holographic overlaminates. The word "just" makes it sound so economical

Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

OK , so if everyone here pitches in we can buy one, and swap it out to each other every week.

Maybe I will drive by and take a look.
They are good about giving samples out to those that walk in, maybe I will try and get some. -

I cannot believe this is as big of a topic as it is.. I have printed on well over 500 discs and never a smear or water hazard. I mean if you cant keep water off your discs then maybe you shouldnt be playing near electricty either.

Hmmmm, I wonder if I can label both sides of a double sided dvd and make it still play.
