Movie: Austin Powers, Goldmember

Why not shrink? - Like max video quality possible

Why not movie only? - extras are hilarious, and infinifilm makes it more relevant to the movie

Why not DVDFab? - How do you navigate to infinifilm without a menu on 2nd disk? Also, You are forced to chose 1 PGC in split mode.

Rip: AnyDVD 3.5.2.1

Run AnyDVD. As the splitting software was never designed for on-the-fly ripping, this indicates to me that any ripping method would do. Although the splitting software is supposed to read off the hard drive, this does not seem neccessary for AnyDVD. I figured this would save time of rippin to HDD.

Split/edit: DVDRemaker 1.1

I clicked on the import icon, and navigated to inside the VIDEO_TS folder residing on the DVD, and selected the VIDEO_TS.IFO file.

I elected to substitute a stock blank cell for cells in the parts of the PGC I wanted to strip (this can be done with right-click).

I kept chapters 1 - 8 (cells 1 - 45) for disc 1, and the rest for disc 2.

I had to go into PGC2 as well as PGC1 and perform the same task for the corrsponding cells in PGC2. I made sure that I chose a common split point that ended a chapter for both PGC's.

Then I used the built-in Menu editor to disable the appropriate menu buttons (right click again).

Then I click the export icon, chose a folder and ran it.

Recode and burn: Nero Recode 2.0.0.12

Being lazy, I elected to shrink the extras only in Nero Recode, rather than trim from each disc. I got 100% on the main titles, and 80+% on the extras, after stripping out a non-related trailer title. With the deep analysis option, I couldn't see a difference when I tried it with the DVD-R/W disks.

Then I burned to DVD-R. Both discs play on standalone, Infinifilm works, menus work, everything works. Although I did have to press enter once before I could navgate the menu, but I think this is more an issue with me not understanding menus to any great depth, rather than a fault of the software.
