  1. I'm using a NT and a W98Se in the netwerk. I'd like to do frameserving from Premier on NT and encoding on Win98Se over the lan connection. The frameserving from Premier is OK but at the start of encoding regardless encoder I get the following error:

    Unable to connect to IPC
    Frame server down??

The frameserving is running and If I start Tmpgenc on NT the encoding is running without any problem.

    What can be wrong?

  2. Guessing,

It sounds like you are using two different versions of frameserver.

    Or

Check the frameserver setup and make sure u are connecting to the right IPCxxxxx.avi (ie: where does it creat the file). If the file already exist, it may create IPCxxxx0, IPCxxxx1.avi files.

  3. Thanks,

The encoding with the same avi-file made by the wideo server plugin on the same PC(NT) is just fine. The problem is to encode the avi made by the server plugin on other PC via network. Do I have to have the same .dll installed on the other PCs? What is IPC, it isn't the avi-file, it has a different name.

  6. The fake avi is a aviwrapper.avi
So it meens I have to have the same avisynth.dll and aviwrapper installed on the "encoder" PC even if I'm not using it?
Thank you , I gonna try.

  7. I guess Aviwrapper can be used only on the same PC with encoder software. Has anyone tryed to encode with frameserving via LAN?

  9. So, I was mailing a few questions to the author and the answer is : NO
It's not possible to use the fremserving over the network. He has to make this option available in aviwrapper to encode over LAN. Anyway he made a fantastic software but I need the network encoding.

Has anyone a solution, maybe another software?
