I have an optorite 4 speed burner and I currently use dvdshrink and clonedvd to make backups. The media i use is datsafe 4 speed with the ritek g04 purple dye.

After burning the dvd plays perfectly on my 2 stand alone players and my pc's Toshiba dvd rom but the optorite burner won't recognise the disk.

when i try to make a backup of a backup(originals stolen) the disk can't be read despite playing every time. I have tried every method to copy to my harddrive but it only seemd to copy half of the files.

please help
