Hi everybody.

Was kinda hard to decide where to put this post, I hope it's ok to post it here.

I've succesfully played many home-made DVD+r discs on my DVD-player (LG-5193) until now, and I'd like to know what the problem could be and if anyone have heard about it. The picture on the TV is "jumpy" (don't know how to describe it better). Audio is fine...

I capture my video from VHS with virtualdub and encode with tmpgenc. I've just started to capture at higher "resolution" (352*560 instead of 352*240, I think 560 gives better quality) and that's when this problem came up.

Where could the error be?

1. My DVD-player don't support DVD+r that has been captured in 352*560? Sounds wierd...

2. I'm doing something wrong with tmpgenc. But the DVD plays fine on my PC. I've tried to encode to both 720*560 and 352*560, same result.

3. Could it be something with my authoring software? I'm using tmpgenc DVDauthor. Btw, the file looks crap when I view it in that program, it looks like some resize / interlace problem... The file looks also crap when I view it in tmpgenc if I don't choose OPTION - PREVIEW OPTION - DO NOT FIX PREVIEW SIZE. I didn't have that problem when I captured in 352*240 but maybe this is normal? If not I'm probably doing something wrong in vdub...

I'm confused........
