    I have a trailer from a movie on my desktop and I cant seem to move or delete it. My dsl got interupted during the download and I am stuck on how to trash it. Thanks for any help in advance!

    ps. I have restarted my puter and made sure nothing 'known' was causing why it cant be deleted, but it says another prog may be using it, although I am 100% sure this is not the case. TY
    If at first you don't succeed; call it version 1.0

  2. if its an avi file, then its prolly the infamous xp bug.

    a quickie fix for it is to start up the task manager, kill explorer.exe & then;

    file/new task/run/browse/set 'file of type' to all files/navigate to your desktop and delete the avi file.

    there is a registry fix, but i'm too lazy to direct you to it.

    You can also use a file burning app to delete it like Norton or Stealth.

  5. you couls also try and delete it from safe mode, or if its on a FAT32 partition, from a DOS boot disk.
