I have the AIW 9600 Pro card and everything works good. I have been setting up my capture presets and am not sure if i am using the right settings when using the different input types.
OK, lets say i have cable TV cable connected and capturing TV, the signal is interlaced and i should capture as interlaced i think.
Now, i swith to the composite input that is coming from a DSS box, should this be interlaced video capture also ?
What is the normal setting in the interlaced, deinterlaced setting for the input types.
Also just to make sure i understand this right. When setting up the Map Presets in MMC for capture with the ATI card, if i chose deinterlaced dose that mean it will deinterlace the video or dose it mean the video source is not interlaced.
Thanks

Yes. All video should be recorded interlaced, unless you're just planning on watching it on your PC, then you can select deinterlace.
If you choose interlace, then that sets witch method you want to record. All analog NTSC signals (composite, S-Video and RF) are interlaced. -
Thanks non-linear
That clears that up for me. Now i can get a standalone DVD player to test these on after i burn them, right now i am doing everything on the PC.
