    Im in the mood for trying out the DVD-ROM revolution, Can any body advise on a CHEEP burner, hense cost must be at a minimum to allow for some other bits (drives).

    Pricewatch.com has the Pioneer DVD-R / RW (DVR-A03) for $480

    A friend of mine got it at a local computer show for $487.

    Panasonic makes a DVD-RAM / DVD-R too for slightly less

    HP mahes a DVD+R/RW i belive...

    Just got my A03 on Sunday..so far..have burned 3 DVD-RW's..

    and 1 DVD-r which seems to play in every player I've tried so far!!
