dru500a problem

I have a sony dru500a it worked well on my old computer. I bought a new computer that came with a lite on ldw411s. when I burned backups I seemed to have more compatibilty problems. I installed the dru500a on the new computer also. Now whenever I try to burn a backup with nero 6.0 it stops at 1% of the burn and eventually gives me a error. I think the firmware is 2.0h but I'm not positive about that. Does anyone have any ideas what would be causing that? Or what I could try next? Thanks for your suggestions.

what media? Try some Sony media, always use it to test the unit.
