    I use verbatim

Bu then that is because they arerecommended by my drives (Plextor 504a) manufacturer.

I suggest you look under media in the left hand coloumn

and check your drives manufacturers website...tosee whaat is recommended...

quite a bit is trial and error...and remember that some standalones do not like some media!!

    but

    CHEAP MEDIA = CRAPPY BURNS
    PRICEY MEDIA = LASTING BURNS

  5. maxell all the way.

you get either some high quality made in japan -R, or ritek +R, good either way.

I use only VERBATIMs Data Life Plus (made in Singapore) inkjet printables, never had a coaster.

Also the image when printed on these disks looks really good, also recommended to use in my Sony drive.

Have used Verbatim -R and -RW

  8. Maxell. Verbatim is becoming hit and miss lately.

Then again, look at all the fake Maxells that have surfaced in the last few months...

Now I remember why I only buy Taiyo Yuden now. No worrying about who made the disc.

not if you buy only the jewel-case shrink-wrapped maxell from brick and mortgage stores like wal-mart or walgreen's.

stay away, far far far away from buying maxell spindles online...

    But man ... they're expensive

I had a Maxell ten pack from Walmart ... almost forgot I had them ... I bought them months ago ... I've gone through a bunch of cake packs of other brands ... I then found my Maxells behind the bed. LOL

    I've got 4 not opened.

  11. Verbatim, use them rarely, but whenever I have, never a problem.
