DVD Shrink Titles

I've used Shrink to back up DVDs of mine. and when I add multiple titles, if i select the last chapter of the title i'm in it automatically switches to the next title.
now i recently bought a dvdr/rw recorder. when i take rw's and copy them to my hard drive i'm taking out commercials and adding the titles back to make a new dvd. but when i add the new titles, once i get to the last chapter in each title, i cant jump to the next title. i need to fast foward through to the next title.
any reason for the difference? and is this normal?

Yep, it's normal. Not all DVD players can switch titles manually. If you are creating DVDs with multiple titles and want a direct access to each of them it's best to use a menu.

There's also a workaround where you can use the title button on your remote to move instantly to the next title. I remember seeing a guide on this site on how to do it. Do a search for "DVD Shrink" and "title button".

i've only used winDVD... the same version. which is why i don't really get why it isnt working now with the stuff i copied from vhs to dvd-rw.

Ah, well, in that case something is different in the way you're re-authoring. WinDVD can jump between titles with the PageUp/PageDn buttons (providing your DVD structure allows it, of course).
Are you using the same version of DVD Shrink as before? I haven't tried the latest versions. Still using 3.0 Beta, works perfect for me and I stick to the motto - if it ain't broken don't fix it.
