I just got a Centrum Gemini 332, and I'm having some problems with the subtitles.
At first, I burned a disk where the filenames were like this:
FILENAME.AVI
FILENAME.SRT
In the SmartNavi, they just showed up as
FILENAME
FILENAME
And the SRT just showed up as a question mark, and I can't get it to work. I figured it might have been too long a filename, so I burned another one where I had:
FILENAME.AVI
SUB.SRT
Same thing there, but I've heard that it can only play the subs if it's the same filename, so that's expected.
Anyways, both filenames where under 11 characters, so I don't see how that could be the problem. So I don't want to waste another disk just trying with something like
FILE.AVI
FILE.SRT
or would that work better?
I've burned both on DVD-R in UDF, and on CD in ISO 9660 Level 1.
Everyone seems to say that subs work just fine, but I've tried with several, and neither work. I really need help with this.
Also, I'm on a Mac, but I doubt that's the problem.
