Hi all,
I exchanged the first Cyberhome 300S simply because of the malfunction of coaxial digital output. On the second player, I got the same problem - can't send out Dobly Digital audio via coaxial to my receiver. Hence, I am thinking what's the problem.
Here were what I have done.
1. Connected my old DVD play to my receiver with coaxial output, everything perfect;
2. Connected the Cyberhome to my receiver with the same cable and movie, no dobly digital can be detected. The overload/error indicator on my receiver is on;
3. Made sure that the digital output of Cyberhome is 'Bitstream' and 'On';
I am very hesitate to return it, because it cost only $29.99 and played my DVD+R/DVD+RW perfectly. Any advise to fix it are very highly appreciated.![]()
Best regards,
James![]()

Hi all,
Any advice on how to use the coaxial output? Did any cyberhome owner successfully use that coaxial output to enjoy dobly digital audio?
If no advice at all, I think I should return it.
Best regards,

1. Returned the Cyberhome to BestBuy;
2. Got the Aspire 1100 from buy.com, and set the SPDIF on Aspire setup to 'RAW' (not 'PCM'), then coaxial output and dobly digital works perfectly;
Just an update.
Best regards,
Autorun
