  1. hello,
this may be a dumb question and I really didn't see a guide for it. but I have a video that has some crackling and hissing that i would like to remove. it is already saved on a dvd. i read people saying to run video through goldwave or adobe audition to remove the noise. my question is do these seperate the audio from video during this process, and if so how do i and or what program do I use to rejoin cleaned up audio back to video. thanks for any help

Yes, you have to rip the DVD to HDD, then demux video and audio, edit the audio (remove the crackling) and finally reauthor new audio+old video as a new DVD.

  3. If you've still got your mpg file used to make the dvd, then one way is demux using TMPGEnc Plus mpg tools utility. You can clean up the audio and then merge it back with the video using same utility.

If you dan't have the original mpg file, yuo will need to rip and regenerate same from the dvd.
