cut/edit ?

Is there a way to cut the video ? not in terms of length, but the actual picture.

I have some cool videos but they have logos, banners or other stuff that I would like to cut out.

Can anyone help me ?

Sounds like "cropping" is what you want to do. I am sure there is a guide for it that will give you details. But in short, you can go into Virtual Dub, add a "Null transform" filter, and then select the "cropping" button.
