Need Help joining 4 MPEG 2 files

Hi All,
I'm trying to merge 4 MPEG 2 files into 1 using TMPGENC but get the error "BOBFEST2.mpg IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OTHER MPEG FILE" where bobfest2.mpg is the 2nd file I had added to the merge cut window. If I remove the bobfest2 file I get the same error w/the next file. Avicodec
list all 4 files as

I'd tried using both MPEG2 PROGRAM and MPEG2 SuperVCD in "type". Any help w/getting around this error is appreciated. Thanks!

Why do you want to merge them ?

Try Womble mpeg2vcr. I just started using it to cut out commercials in my captured VHS tapes and it works great! There are guides on this site on how to use it.

Another program that can join files is VideoReDo. www.videoredo.com There's a 21-day free trial to see if you like it.

It does a lot more than just joining mpegs. I use it primarily to cut commercials out of recordings. The UI makes this a breeze!

OK, I'm a complete newbie and not terribly bright. But that VideoReDo program is way cool. Works great and so intuitive that no reading of any help files is necessary. Thanks for the tip, Priority.
