  1. I think I ran across a program that could do this, but I can't find it so I thought I'd ask here. I have a directory of .avi files. What program can tell me the video codec (divx) and resolution (horizontal and vertical size), and the audio codec (mp3, ac3, etc...), the bitrate (44100Hz, 22050Hz, etc...), number of bits (16-bit, 32-bit), number of channels (mono, stereo) and if mp3, the mp3 bitrate (128kbit, 256kbit, etc...) of every .avi file in the directory in a detailed list? I can remember what the dialog of the program looks like but I can't remember what it's called. Any help or link would be much appreciated. I don't want to open each file in VirtualDub and look at the File Information, especially when I know there is an easier way out there.

I think it could be avicodec or gspot

  3. thanks, avicodec is the one I was used to. I got gspot to try it out, it does a good job but doesn't do multiple files side-by-side. But got avicodec installed and it works fine, thanks again.
