What affect will temperature have on a DVDR? The reason I ask is because I have an entertainment system in my vehicle with a DVD player for the kids. I have made backup copies of all of our G and PG rated DVD's and just leave them in the vehicle for the kids to watch. We play the originals in the house and the copies in the car.
Here in Wisconsin the temperature can be very cold during the Winter and especially at night (below 0). In the summer it isn't unusual for the temperature to be 90 degrees + and humid. It's only been a couple of months since I started doing this and they still work fine. Is this going to ruin my DVD backups?
Thanks for your replys.

I wouldn't worry so much about the cold. Intense heat may shorten the lifespan of a DVDR, but as long as you don't leave in direct sunlight for prolonged periods you should be fine.
Life is too important to take seriously.
