    Greetings,

Here is my dilemna. I want to backup a three episode disk.

When I use DVD Shrink, Here what I get:

    Menu 158 Megs
    Main Movie 7 Gbs
    Extras 100 Megs

In the main movie, there is only one Title (Meaning one line) with 3 episodes.

My problem is the compression level is at 52%. I know the quality will suck.

Usually, when there is such thing, I am using NEro Recode and I disable the title. But I can't because the 3 episodes are in the same title.

So, is there a way I can split those episodes easilly (with software)?

    Thank you

Using DVDShrink's Re-Author mode you can keep just your title, throwing away everything else (including unwanted audio and/or subtitle languages).

This will reduce significantly the compression, thus improving significantly the final quality. If you don't mind the extra time, you could also enable the Deep Analysis setting prior to backing up your movie.

You won't have a menu on your backup dvdr, but the 3 episodes will be shown as chapters of the only title, providing the original movie was factory-encoded that way. In that case, you can jump forth & back among the episodes using the |<< and >>| on your standalone's remote-control.

    Best regards,

PS. You can also split the original title into 3 separate titles, using DVDShrink's Start/End feature (always in ReAuthor mode) but if the original title already contains 3 chapters (one for each episode) then I don't think it worths the extra hassle.
