  1. Does anyone know if Nero 6 and Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator can co-exist on the same system? Since they do some of the same things and try to identify the files as theirs, I'm reluctant to try installing both of them until I know they won't conflict.

I want the ripping capability of Roxio which I used to have on my system but removed when I installed Nero. I mistakenly thought that Nero could rip music as well. I've also discovered that NeroMix won't play the MusicMatch songs that I've downloaded legally -- says they are protected files. Roxio would play them.

I installed Nero because so many people seem to like that burner for DVDs and I've just installed a DVD burner.

  2. Don't really know -- but why don't you set a restore point in XP and try it. If it causes problems, uninstall ROXIO and roll-back to the pre-install restore point.

Roxio's DirectCD doesn't like Nero. That's the issue really. Roxio and Nero can co-exist just fine. Of course good like installing Roxio without DirectCD........

  7. I've had both installed since the last Nero 5 before 6 came out. there are no issues so long as you don't try to install both Roxio DirectCD and Nero INCD. Since they both do basically the same thing and run constantly in the background they will confilict, at least they have for me in the past. Avoid using both and you'll be fine. Actually I avoid them altogether. drag n' drop to RW has never really been any use to me.

  8. I see the nero site don't have the InCD download anymore.

BUT dose InCD and DirectCD both work for DVD's also, and can you write some files to a DVD and not fill the disk, then remove it and then write some more files later just like you can with CD's. and dose it work on -R, +r,-RW,+RW disk or just RW disks.
