hey guys, heres the problem. the dvd i'm trying to back up is dual layered. the movie itself is 5,508mb; so even if i move all the extras to another dvd disc(which i dont know how to do anyway), the movie still wouldnt fit. i dont want to compress it at all, i must retain the original picture. how can i go about doing this? what programs are recommended to copy dvd-9 movies to 2 dvd-r's? thanks for the help in advance

  5. Go to the tools section, search for DVDfab. You will find links to guides and download sites.

Check out DVDStripper too, in a similar fashion. Stripper's not so great at shrinking, but it does a good job splitting multi-angle movies, in my experience.

You can use both free, although full-featured DVDFab from latest release costs money, early free verison is also available.

yes. it will show the picture you selected to put at the disc change which may say "please insert disc 2" and when you insert disc 2 it will start playing automatically

Why not DVDShrink the main movie and/or the extras to fit wholly one 1 disc ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

You've got good eyes or you're doing it wrong if you can tell between Shrunk and Unshrunk....
    If in doubt, Google it.

  10. Try the trial version of CloneDVD 2 Preview by elby...it has an option between 1 cd or 2.
