  1. Strange thing has just popped up. First, I use a DVC-150 (Which came with quickstart 8) to convert all my old home vhs tapes to DVD. It has worked fine and I have converted over 30 perfect DVD's. Of the 30 made a few needed to be split and joined for time sequence needs. I used TMPGENC to do this and it worked fine. I was able to split and join to my hearts content. Now it seems as If something has changed as I can no longer split or join the captured mpeg file. The files look fine and play fine, but they simply will not load into any split/join program. Instead I get an error message saying there has been a floating decimal point division by zero error.

I have tried with TMPGENC and a couple of other join/split programs and each give me the same error. Why now would I start getting these errors when trying to edit? Could a codec or another program be conflicting? I just find it strange that I have been able to do it before and now all of a sudden I can't do it at all.

    Any help appreciated.

  3. I should have also mentioned that the files load fine into TMPGENC. It gives error when I goto MPG tools and and select merge & Cut. I then choose the file I want to edit..and poof....the error. Drivin me nuts..

  4. Try cutting and merhing with Mpg2Cut2,
which is designed to accept a wide variety of Mpeg-2 files.

Download the latest version of Mpg2Cut2 at
    http://www.geocities.com/rocketjet4/

For cutting VOBs, I recommend the following::
    - "menu - Output - Preamble - MAXIMUM"
    - Also use "PVAStrumento" from Offeryn if cutting multiple clips..
