    Anyone know of a piece of software I could you to extract a film I placed on a VR mode DVD, it plays fine in PowerDVD, but I can't seem to access it using anything else

    I have Philips DVDR75 and when I put the DVD+RW in my PC I use TMPGenc DVD Author .

    Open TDA > Open DVD Video > Select the VIDEO_TS folder on the disc and from there you can save a film to any folder on your PC and a .mpg

    You can watch it or Re Author to a DVD-R from there.

    You do not get a thumbnail I guess because of the format.

    It works for me.

    Nope can't do that. VR mode DVD's are slightly different.
