My friend has an LG 5063 DVD player and wanted it multi-region. I downloaded a patch off a site and burnt it to a CD and gave it to my mate but it has knackered the machine but i kinda remember that someone else had a problem with the same thing. I cant seem to find the site now.

    Can anyone help?

  5. what do you mean by "knackered".
if you mean theres no picture any more, but the discs still work, then you have to go into setup blind, and reset teh options,to another video output and back.
then the picture will come back.
if you mean that it wont take a disc, then a note of the firmware settings, would have come in handy before the flash.
because the svcd/vcd hack on my 5xxx series is to do with altering the digits.

  7. well..im sure it was when you do one of the patches..it resets teh input to component..it did it on mine earlier, but i followed the manual and picked "composite output" and the screen reappears.
but if its not playing discs, maybe on of the numbers is out.
ill check my instruction manual,as i wrote it down in that.
