Ok, before I start off I must again make one request: don't make this a political argument. That's not what I'm going for.
My question is: Whenever someone drops out of a presidential election, what happens to the campaign money they've raised and hadn't used? Also, when a campaign is over, what is done with the unused money? I'm just curious...

It belongs to the campaigner, for future campaigns, or he can donate to the party's war chest, to help elect (or re-elect) the party's nominees (or incumbents).
