Apex ad-1110w plays DVD+RW and NOT DVD+R ?

My Apex AD-1110W Plays DVD-R great and also DVD+RW, but won't play DVD+R. I thought it used to play them, but I could be mistaken. It doesn't make make sense that it wil play +RW and not +R the +R's are Kypermedia(Crap) and Imation(Ricoh). I tried CompUSA +RW's (optodisc) and they work. The +RW CompUSA and Kypermedia were burned with Nero 6 and the Imation with Roxio 6. Does anyone have any suggestions.

My Apex AD-1200 plays everything BUT DVD+Rs, it plays DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R, VCD, SVCD, XVCD, Raw MPEGs, JPGs, you get the picture. Just not DVD+Rs. You want a suggestion? Don't buy any more DVD+Rs. I've looked for firmware or a hack to no avail, it seems there's nothing to be done about it. Perhaps the same goes for your AD-1110.

The only thing that might help is a firmware upgrade for your NEC that Tompika pointed you to. Don't get your hopes too high.
