I've been making homemade backups and testing them on my two Toshiba dvd players, the SD-2008 (which is about 5 years old) and the
MW-20FM1 (which is a newer TV/DVD combo). I have used IFOEdit to split the dvds I have because I would like to keep the original menus. However, I've tried using RecordNow Max, Nero 5.5, and burned a DVD image using DVDecrypter, and the Toshibas still fail to recognize the discs.
DVDs re-authored with DVDShrink work fine, but a) I don't to cut the quality in half by fitting my DVDs onto one disc and b) don't want to re-
author using DVDShrink because I will lose the menus.
I've tested my discs on other people's players and they work fine. For some reason Toshiba is giving me a real hassle.
So the questions are: Does anybody know what software I can use to
successfully split a DVD to two DVD+R's and keep the menus so that they play in a Toshiba Player? Does anyone have any experience using IFOEdit and Toshiba and getting the whole damn thing to work properly!
Please someone help (or at least reply)! End the coasters! Thanks.
